MYZ and our partners – Nurturing Foundations, Mad Theatre, and New Testament Church Of God – have been working together on the RADEQUAL project. RADEQUAL is aimed at getting into communities and neighbourhoods early, having honest and often difficult conversations and working together to address and prevent some of the factors that could lead individuals to engage in extremism
All of these videos can be used by teachers, youth workers and community workers.
What is RADEQUAL
This video will give you an overview of our 2020 / 21 RADEQUAL project.
Devised, delivered and produced in line with COVID safety protocals, this short film explains the 3 ‘Cs’ that make up our ‘Manchester Approach’.
This three minute video from MaD Theatre company is a great introduction for groups to the RADEQUAL project, the need for projects to discuss and tackle extremism and prejudice and also provides links and information on where to get help and support.
Devised, written and performed by young people from Manchester Youth Zone.
This is a story about how hateful extremism can effect young people, showing how one young person is in danger of being radicalised, and how this impacts on those around her.
The story continued in our 2021/22 film
Visit our RADEQUAL home page which will be updated with all of the resources we have developed
This project is funded by Manchester City Council.
